On verizon incredible there seems to be no setting for 2g. It is either 3g or standard. The incredible has a built in widget that does this task, but I would like to incorporate it into your app. Then it would be perfect.

Seems silly that they can add a toggle for a desired effect, but won’t allow developers to simulate the same thing.
Sadly the network toggle is one of the ones I use the most. My office at work is a dead zone and leaving 3G on annihilates my battery.

I will rebuy if 1-click GPS is added. I know many devs say this is not possible but there are several widgets available that can do it so it is definitely possible. I read somewhee that there was an Android bug that enabled this to be possible. Check out the Locale GPS plugin. They figured it out and offer it with a disclaimer that it is unsupported by the dev. That would be a nice option as it works well in Locale.

Ok.. bought it… much better now with direct GPS toggle. The concept is great but there are still a few things to tweak IMHO…
1) the 5 steps for brightness takes a while to get through. This app would be perfect if you could configure which brightness steps you want. For example, I really just want 11% and 100% so I would like to toggle between those two options with a single click. Also, I don’t know if it is possible but an auto-brightness toggle would also be nice.
2) I use Locale to automatically toggle Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS in certain situations. The Extended Controls Widget seems to reflect the current WiFi state pretty accurately but when BlueTooth/GPS are toggled by Locale, the widget does not accurately reflect the current state. Bluetooth seems to eventually update but GPS does not seem to update until the next time you touch the widget. I know the stock Power Widget does update pretty quickly in these same scenarios when I run them side-by-side so maybe there is something that can be done to make Extended Controls work more accurately here?
Thanks for the hard work and I look forward to any tweaking you can do to address these issues now that I am a non-refundable owner!

Hi,
Great widget! More useful than any other settings widget I’ve seen yet.
One issue: the Autolock toggle does not work on my Nexus One. When I try to click it, nothing happens. It does not respond to the click.
I would like to see a “Presets” feature. A preset is a user-defined set of toggle-states. For example I would define a “Home” preset as having wi-fi on, APN off, BT off and Sync on; and a “Car” preset as having wi-fi off, APN on, BT on and Sync on.
A presets-widget will enable one-click activation of any preset. This way the user could define a few presets and just switch between them, setting all the selected toggles with a single click.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Guys. It’s a very good and extensive app, but for long time i am searching for an feature that no other app/widget offers. I would like to easily switch between the setting to send my caller-id id or not to send it. Now the users have just two options to switch the setting. First: Navigate to phone settings and turn it off; Second: Before call initiation type a code prior to the number you want to dial, in my case it is #31#. Both options are very inefficient because they take to much time if someone (like me) want to change the settings depending on who he want call.
Would it be possible to add such a widget to your controls app?

Hi,
I’m interested in buying this.
I’ve got a few questions and suggestions that I hope you can answer. It will give me an idea of what the potential of your great app is.
Can you tell me:
1) Can you change the spacing between buttons/icons, so you can take up less than a whole row (if you have many, very small icons)?
2) Can you change the colour of the symbols (white part) to any colour you like?
3) Can you replace the icons/symbols with custom ones for each icon/symbol?
4) Can you change the order of the items in the list (left-right). (EG: put wifi on the left side, right, middle, etc)
5) Can you select which buttons to have text and which to have only icon?
6) Can you remove the orange selection box that appears when you press the button? (see 4:31 on your HDblog.it youtube video)
7) Can you have an option so you can change the icons/symbols to change colour when on/off rather than having the colour bar/dot beneath them? Can you have a colour picker rather than defined colours – to chose any colour at all?
9) Can you chose a background image to use for the buttons?
Thank you very much.
If it can do most/all this, I’ll be buying it!

Hello Honolulu Team.
I own EC. Fairly happy with it.
Just had a few questions:
1/ Any plans to allow (rooted) users to be able to replace the stock android power control (in the notify area) with a custom 4×1 EC panel? That would be awesome! The current one is so lacking!
2/ The wifi button in EC often shows the wrong status on my phone. (Sometime when Wifi is actually OFF, it shows as ON. This causes me to turn it off on EC. Expecting that it’s now OFF, I lock the screen. Trouble is, I’ve actually turned it ON, and the battery power is now draining unecessarily. (Sometimes this happens with the DATA button too)
3/ Any chance the battery status indicator can have the % sign removed? When on 100% it puts the % beneath the number (wrap text) when using a 9 button 4×1 panel. Or perhaps put the % inside the battery icon? Also, the battery icon is higher on the button than the other ordinary on/off icons (eg: wifi, audio, etc). Can this be fixed so they are all on teh same level? . Just some suggestions. I’m sure you guys can think of a great way to implement it.
4/ Lastly, one button I use (and love) is a single 1×1 which activates the ‘Screen Lock’. In the preferences for this button, I remove the underneath ‘activation’ bar, as there is no need to turn it on/off – the activation iteself causes the screen to lock. The trouble is, the icon automatically centre itself vertically on the button, and with no activation bar at the bottom, it’s a little lower on the button than other icons/buttons/widgets in that same horizontal row, and it makes it look weird. Any chance there will be a future option to change the text wrap, vertical/horizontal centering?
My phone:Samsung galaxy s (I9000) with Android Eclair 2.2
Looking forward to your responses

But our first mission is to fix all bugs and to increment the number of controls of ExtendedControls.
Bye
Fair enough. Looking forward to it.
Can you tell me when the next release is planned…so I know how long I have to wait to find out what features Id get when I buy it :p
Hi Guys, great app ! One question, after reboot of OS or HTC Sense (new load) extended controls failes to reload the widget. Can you resolve this ?
The next release is planned to next weekend
Joep do you have HTC Wildfire?
Nottix, yep a Wildfire ! Is there a specifiq problem ? Thanks
We are working on this problem, follow us on twitter for updates
Hi there!
Can you please add “deactivation” of unused sizes in widget selection? Or change the number of widgets to only 1??
When adding different widgets, Extended Controls takes 4 places, I think 1 should be OK and the size can be selected in the next menu.
Many thanks!
HELP, my autolock button does not work it doesnt light up or turn on/off the autolock feature. tried modifying the widget and a reboot….nothing.
We are fixing it
I bought this primarily for Autolock and it works intermittently on a stock Nexus One. Is this a known issue?
We will release an update very soon.
Awesome widget. don’t know if this is the place to report bugs.
i have a samsung galaxy s running 2.1. the apps works perfectly except when i use the the donut skin. i get the problem loading widget error message. This is not a big deal as i like the eclair skin more but it’s something you can look at.
keep up the good work.
You can report at extendedcontrols.googlecode.com
but we fixed this bug and we’ll release an update very soon.
Thank you
Hello Honolulu Team.
